About us
Our vision is to connect children with nature. That’s the reason why Anja ffrench founded Mud & Bloom in 2018 and it’s still the driving force behind our work today! Anja strongly believes that time outdoors, playing and learning, benefits both physical and mental health and so created Mud & Bloom to make gardening and nature more accessible to busy parents like her.
We encourage respect for nature but we also encourage rummaging around in it! Touching, smelling, picking flowers and taking the time to really look at the beauty of the outside world - that's how children learn and connect with nature. We believe children who develop a bond with the natural world will want to look after it in the future, and because of this, we have made it our duty to lead by example and focus on creating environmentally-friendly products from day one.
About our products:
🌱 We create seasonal nature craft and gardening activity boxes, seasonal party bags, gardening tools and craft materials.
🌱 Our packaging and contents are recyclable and our products include plastic-free materials and packaging wherever possible.
🌱 We source certified organic and biodynamic seeds and organic peat-free compost pellets for use in our activities.
🌱 Our Activity Cards are printed in the UK by a carbon-neutral print company using a pioneering chemical-free and waterless printing system.
🌱 Our box contents are prepared and packed in Bristol by people earning at least the Real Living Wage.
